ὠνόμασται, “"expressed"” (rather than “"mentioned"”): cp. Dem. De Cor. § 35οὐ γὰρ τὰ ῥήματα τὰς οἰκειότητας ἔφη βεβαιοῦν, μάλα σεμνῶς ὀνομάζων” (expressing himself in very stately language).

βραχέσι, not "short," but "light," "trivial": Thuc. 1.78βουλεύεσθε οὖν βραδέως ὡς οὐ περὶ βραχέων”.
