ὡς with βουληθείς, marking more strongly the agent's own point of view, cp. on 71. δρᾶν τι, euphemistic, to take any forcible measures: so, in a good sense, Thuc. 1.20 “βουλόμενοι...δράσαντές τι καὶ κινδυνεῦσαι”, to do something notable if they must incur the risk.
