διώμοτοι. The adj., not found elsewhere, answers to “διόμνυμι” ( Tr. 255) or “διόμνυμαι” (ib. 378, Ai. 1233) as=‘to swear solemnly.’

μὴν, prefacing an oath, as Tr. 256(“διώμοσεν”) “ μὴν...δουλώσειν”: ib. 1185 “ὄμνυ”... | “ μὴν τί δράσειν”; The formula occurs first in Il. 1. 76ὄμοσσον” | “ μέν” (Ion. for “μήν”) “μοι ἀρήξειν”. It is used also in threats, O.C. 816 “ μὴν... λυπηθεὶς ἔσει” (n.).
