[511] οὐχ ἡμάρτανε μύθων (cp. “ἀφαμαρτοεπής” and “ἁμαρτοεπής Il.3. 215; 13. 824) means, ‘he did not miss the right words to say;’ i. e. did not say the wrong ones. ‘Nestor and I alone were his masters’ in speaking.
