[115] οὔ κέ μοι ἀχνυμένῳ can only mean ‘I should not be vexed if &c.’ This interpretation is confirmed by the clause “ὅτ̓ ἐγὼ κτλ.” ‘if I were left behind (i. e. seeing that I should remain here) able to take up my father's contests.’
