[177] οὐδ᾽ ἂν ἐγών. There is no parallelism between οὐδέ here and in 175. It is really equivalent to the full force of its constituents “οὐ δέ”, ‘but I will not.’ Odysseus is cautious to a fault here. Calypso had said sup. 161 “ἤδη γάρ σε μάλα πρόφρασσ᾽ ἀποπέμψω”.
