[476] (“ διπλῆ”) “ὅτι καὶ ἐν Ἰλιάδι νῦν τὸ προπάροιθεν ἐπὶ χρόνου τέταχεν, πρόσθεν ἰδεῖν τὸν Διομήδη, οὐχ ὡς οἱ χωρίζοντες ἐν Ὀδυσσείαι μόνον, ἐν Ἰλιάδι δὲ τοπικῶς” This An.is one of the most interesting of the few recorded arguments of the Chorizontes which we possess. As a matter of fact there are other passages in the Iliad in which “προπάροιθε” is apparently used in a temporal, not a local sense: 11.734, 22.197, while Od. 11.483 seems to be the only case in
