[494] So Od. 6.286 “καὶ δ᾽ ἄλληι νεμεσῶ, ἥ τις τοιαῦτά γε ῥέζοι”, and cf. Od. 1.47. The use of the opt. after the pres. is rare; it ‘avoids assuming that the case will ever occur,’ H. G. § 305 c; and compare note on 17.631.
