[125] λίγξε seems to be an imitative word; it does not occur again in Greek. Notice the personification of the weapons, “ἴαχεν, ἆλτο, μενεαίνων”. So “λιλαιόμενα χροὸς ἆσαι11.574, etc. In Od. 21.411 Odysseus' bowstring “καλὸν ἄεισε, χελιδόνι εἰκέλη αὐδήν”.
