[409] ἐλετή, a general word, of acquiring by any means; here answering to “κτητοί” above. ἀμείψεται in sense pass over recurs in H. only in the same phrase Od. 10.328. So Hes. Theog. 749, Aisch. Cho. 965, etc. ἕρκος ὀδόντων recurs only in the formal phrase “ποῖόν σε ἔπος φύγεν . .; (4.350, 14.83, and six times in Od.).
