[639] ἵλαον, placable. ἔνθεο is explained by 629, and “θέσαν” 637. It is a question if we should not adopt the reading “θέο” of J; “ἵλαος” has “α_” in 1.583, Hymn. Cer. 204, and this quantity is implied in the Ionic “ἵλεως”. But “α^” recurs in 19.178.
