A.consider as part of purity, make it a point of religion, c. inf., “ἁγνεύουσι ἔμψυχον μηδὲν κτείνειν” Hdt.1.140: abs., to bepure, “ὄρνιθος ὄρνις πῶς ἂν ἁγνεύοι φαγών” ; A.Supp.226, cf.
