A.= λόχιος, λοχαίας ἐξ ἕδρας prob.l.in E.Alc.846, cf. Artem.5.73 (as v.l. for λοχείους [δίφρους]; λ. ἔρως clandestine love, AP15.9 (Cyrus).
II. bearing down, like heavy ears of corn, “λ. σῖτοςPhot., cf. Hsch.; and so prob. in Thphr.CP3.21.5, 23.5: hence metaph., richly-blooming, Arat.1057.
