A.yoke beside, couple in marriage, “χρηστῷ πονηρὸν λέκτρον” E.Fr.520; φρουρὼ π. φύλακε σώματος having set beside him, Id.Ion22:—Pass., to be coupled to another, “γυνὴ ἐσθλὴ παραζευχθεῖσα καὶ σῴζει δόμους” Id.Fr.1055.2, cf. Epicur. l.c.: c. dat., D.Prooem.55.
2. generally, associate, “τί τινι” Phld.Mus.p.71 K.:—Pass., to be associated in a task, PRyl.237.4 (iii A. D.); ἡ παρεζευγμένη χωλεία the associated lameness, Apollon.Cit.3.
