A.interpret allegorically, “Ἕλληνες Κρόνον ἀλληγοροῦσι τὸν χρόνον” Plu.2.363d, cf. 996b, Heraclit.All. 1 :—Pass., to be spoken allegorically, Ep.Gal.4.24 ; ἀλληγορεῖται ἁ Ἀπόλλων εἰς τὸν Ἥλιον, Sch.S.Aj.186.
