δίω for δέδια, etc. v. δείδω

1.to run away, take to flight, flee, like δίεμαι Il.
II.Causal in Mid., subj. δίωμαι, δίηται, δίωνται, opt. δίοιτο, inf. δίεσθαι, to drive away, chase, put to flight, Hom., Aesch.:—simply to drive horses, Il.
2.to pursue, give chase, ἐπί τινα Aesch.: δ. λάχος to pursue, discharge an office, id=Aesch.
