2.without any sense of motion, like ἐκτός, outside, without, Od.: τὸ ἔξω the outside, Thuc.; τὰ ἔξω things outside the walls, id=Thuc.; τὰ ἔξω πράγματα foreign affairs, id=Thuc.;— οἱ ἔξω those outside, id=Thuc.
