II.Special usages: ὅσας ἂν πλείστας δύναιντο καταστρέφεσθαι the greatest number that they could possibly subdue, Hdt.; ὅτι πλ. Thuc., etc.:— εἷς ἀνὴρ πλεῖστον πόνον παρασχών the greatest of all men, Aesch.
