Transf., to come forth again, rise, or spring up again: “velut ab stirpibus laetius feraciusque renatae urbis,Liv. 6, 1, 3; cf.: “tot nascentia templa, tot renata,Mart. 6, 4, 3: “ubi terreno Lycus (fluvius) est epotus hiatu, Exsistit procul hinc alioque renascitur orbe,” i. e. comes forth again, reappears, Ov.
