I.a city of Hispania Tarraconensis, near the Pyrenees, Mel. 2, 6, 5; Plin. 3, 3, 4, § 22; Liv. 21, 60; Sil. 3, 369.—Its inhabitants were called Empŏritāni , Liv. 34, 16, 4.
