Hanno (Anno ), ōnis, m., = Ἄννων,
I.a Punic name. The most celebrated of the name is Hanno, general of the Carthaginians, who, about the year 500 B.C., navigated the western coast of Africa, Plin. 5, 1, 1, § 8; Cic. Tusc. 5, 32, 90.
