Abrocŏmas

Ἀβροκόμας).
1.
A son of Darius who accompanied Xerxes against Greece, and was slain at Thermopylae.
2.
A satrap of Artaxerxes Mnemon who was sent with an army of 300,000. men to oppose Cyrus on
his march into Upper Asia. He burned some boats to prevent Cyrus from crossing the Euphrates,
but did not arrive in time for the battle of Cunaxa (
Xen.
