Nausicăa
(
Ναυσικάα). A daughter of Alcinoüs, king of the
Phaeacians, and Areté, who conducted Odysseus to the court of her father when he
was shipwrecked on the coast of Scheria. The passages in which Nausicaa is introduced are
among the most pleasing and graceful of any in Homer. See
