Agesipŏlis
(
Ἀγησίπολις). The name of several kings of Sparta.
1.
Agesipolis who succeeded his father, Pausanias, while yet a minor, in B.C. 394, and reigned
fourteen years.
2.
Son of Cleombrotus, reigned one year, B.C. 371.
3.
Succeeded Cleomenes in B.C. 220, but was soon deposed by his colleague
Lycurgus.
