Antonia Turris

A castle on a rock at the northwest corner of the Temple at Jerusalem, originally called Baris, but renamed by Herod the Great in honour of M. Antonius. In it resided the procurator of Iudaea. See Ioseph. Bell. Iud. v. 15; and the article Hierosolyma.
