ALCATHOEA

ALCATHOEA (ἀλκαθοῖα), games celebrated at Megara, in commemoration of the Eleian hero Alcathoos, son of Pelops, who had killed a lion which had destroyed Euippus, son of king Megareus. (Pind. Isthm. 8.148; Paus. 1.42.1.)
