SORINGI

Eth. SORINGI (Eth. Σώριγγοι, Peripl. M. E. p. 34), a people of the southern part of Hindostan, who apparently dwelt along the banks of the Chaberus (Káveri). Lassen places them below the Sorae, on the slopes of the hills above Madras.
