AIAS
AIAS or
AEAS (
Αἴας ὄρος,

Plin. Nat. 6.29. s. 33), was a headland of the limestone range which separates Upper Egypt from the Red Sea.
It was in the parallel of Thebes, and S. of the modern

The district occupied by the Icthyophagi commenced a little to the north of the headland of Aias.
