GURZUBITAE

GURZUBITAE (Γουρζουβίται, Procop. de Aed. 3.7), a fortress erected by Justinian in the Tauric Chersonese, the ruins of which are still seen at Oursuf, to the W. of Lambat. (Comp. Clarke, Trav. vol. ii. p. 258.)
