THYMBRES
THYMBRES a tributary of the Sangarius in Phrygia (
Liv. 38.18), is no doubt the same as the Tembrogius of Pliny (
6.1) and the Timbrius in the Argonautica bearing the name of Orpheus (713), where the river is described as abounding in fish.
