541. In the lyric and elegiac poets, as in Homer, the form with ἄν or κέ was in good use in these sentences. See (For ordinary protasis see 469 and 470.) In the dramatists the relative with ἄν is completely established with the subjunctive as the regular form (like ἐάν, etc.) in both general and particular conditions. (See 471.)
