[*] 367. (Future Indicative.) Sometimes, though seldom, μή has the future indicative after verbs of fearing. The examples are:— Φρὴν ἀμύσσεται φόβῳ, μὴ πόλις πύθηται . . . καὶ τὸ Κισσίων πόλισμ᾽ ἀντίδουπον ᾁσεται, βυσσίνοις δ᾽ ἐν πέπλοις πέσῃ λακίς. AESCH. Pers. 115. Ταῦτ᾽ οὖν φοβοῦμαι, μὴ πόσις μὲν Ἡρακλῆς ἐμὸς καλεῖται (fut.), τῆς νεωτέρας δ᾽ ἀνήρ. SOPH. Tr. 550. Δέδοικα μὴ ἄλλου τινὸς μεθέξω. XEN. Cyr. ii. 3, 6. Φοβοῦμαι δὲ μή τινας ἡδονὰς ἡδοναῖς εὑρήσομεν ἐναντίας. Phil. 13 α. Ἀλλὰ (φοβερὸν καὶ σφαλερὸν) μὴ σφαλεὶς κείσομαι. Rep. 451A. (The last two examples are not given by Weber.)
