Demara'tus

*Dhma/ratos).

1. A son of Pythias, who was Aristotle's daughter by his wife of the same name. He and his brother, Procles, were pupils of Theophrastus. (D. L. 5.53; Fabric. Bibl. Graec. iii. pp. 485, 504.) He appears to have been named after Demaratus, king of Sparta, from whom his father, Procles, was descended.
