Hypsi'crates

4. A Roman grammarian, a contemporary of M. Terentius Varro. He is mentioned by Varro (de Ling. Lat. 5.88), by Stephanus (s. v. Αἰφίοφ), and Gellius (16.12), who speaks of him as having written libros sane nobiles super his quae a Graecis accepta sunt.
