A Piece of Barbarism.--A chaplain in one of the regiments stationed at Roanoke Island, writes under date of Feb. 13: “Two Massachusetts soldiers have been found in the woods with their throats cut, their ears off, and their parts cut out, and hanging on a tree — the work of rebels. This is authentic.”
