Philadelphia, Jan. 7.--Some of our banks refuse to take Treasury notes on deposit. A very bad feeling is getting up toward the banks, and if they do not alter their course there will not be a dozen banks in the United States in a year from now. The cry is being raised: “Down with the banks, and give us a national currency.”
