Hosmer, Henry Cuyler 1814-1877

Author; born in Avon, N. Y., May 25, 1814; graduated at the University of Vermont in 1841; practised law in Avon till 1854, when he was appointed clerk in the New York custom-house. His works include The fall of Tecumseh, a drama, and The pioneers of Western New York. He died in Avon, N. Y., May 23, 1877.
