Houston, David Franklin 1866-

Educator; born in Monroe, N. C., Feb. 7, 1866; graduated at South Carolina College in 1887; became tutor of Ancient Languages in the South Carolina College; was superintendent of Spartanburg, S. C., city schools in 1888-91; appointed Adjunct Professor of Political Science in the University of Texas in 1894. He is author of A critical study of nullification in South Carolina.
