Tod, David 1805-1868

Diplomatist; born in Youngstown, O., Feb. 21, 1805; admitted to the bar in 1827 and practised in Warren for fifteen years; was a member of the State Senate in 1838; minister to Brazil in 1847-52; delegate to the Charleston [83] convention in 1860; and governor of Ohio in 1861. He died in Youngstown, O., Nov. 13, 1868.
