Waterman, Thomas Whitney 1821-1898

Lawyer; born in Binghamton, N. Y., June 28, 1821; studied at Yale University; admitted to the bar in 1848; practised in New York City in 1848-70; removed to Binghamton in the latter year. He was the editor of New system of criminal procedure; Murray Hoffman's Chancery reports, etc., and author of Treatise on the Civil and criminal jurisdiction of Justices of the peace for the States of Wisconsin and Iowa: containing practical forms; Digest of the reported decisions of the Superior Court and of the Supreme Court of errors of the State of Connecticut, from the organization of said courts to the present time, etc. He died in Binghamton, N. Y., Dec. 7, 1898.
