Welch, Moses Cook 1754-

Clergyman; born in Mansfield, Conn., Feb. 22, 1754; graduated at Yale College in 1772; taught school; studied law and medicine; taught again: then studied theology; was ordained in 1784, and succeeded his father as pastor of a church in Mansfield, which he held till his death, April 21, 1824. He wrote Eulogy on Benjamin Chaplin; The addresser addressed, etc.
