Addicks, John Edward, 1841-

Capitalist; born in Philadelphia, Nov. 21, 1841. Interested in gas companies. He was a candidate for United States Senator from Delaware for several years, built failed of election. His adherents prevented the election of any one, and as a consequence Delaware has been unrepresented in the United States Senate for several years.
