Reynolds, Elmer Robert 1846-

Scientist; born in Dansville, N. Y., July 30, 1846; graduated at Columbia College in 1880. During the Civil War he was in the 10th Wisconsin Cavalry. For many years he was engaged in ethnological exploration. and is the author of Aboriginal Soapstone quarries in the District of Columbia; Pre-Columbian shell mounds at Newburg, Md.; Prehistoric remains in the valleys of the Potomac and the Shenandoah; The War memories of a soldier, etc.
