Left State for Washington, D. C., February 28, arriving there March 1.

Attached to Camp Barry, Defenses of Washington, 22nd Army Corps, to April, 1863.

1st Brigade, DeRussy's Division, 22nd Army Corps, to June, 1863.

Camp Barry, Defenses of Washington, D. C., to November, 1863.

Artillery Brigade, 11th Army Corps, Army of the Cumberland, to March, 1864.

Garrison Artillery, Chattanooga, Tenn., Dept. of the Cumberland, to March, 1865.

2nd Brigade, 4th Division, District of East Tennessee, Dept. of the Cumberland, to July, 1865.


Service.

Duty at Washington, D. C., till May 23, 1863.

Garrison Forts Ramsey and Buffalo, Upton's Hill, Defenses of Washington, to June.

At Camp Barry till October.

Moved to Nashville, Tenn., October 28-November 12, and Reserve Artillery duty there till March 6, 1864.

March to Chattanooga, Tenn., March 6-19, and Reserve Artillery duty there till March 31, 1865.

One detachment attached to 13th New York Battery and one detachment to Battery “I,” 1st Michigan Artillery, serving in the 20th Army Corps during 1864.

Battery moved to Riceville, Tenn., March 31, 1865, and duty there till July.

Ordered to Detroit, Michigan, and there mustered out July 22, 1865.

Battery lost during service 3 Officers and 1 Enlisted man killed and mortally wounded and 14 Enlisted men by disease. Total 18.
