14th New York Independent Battery Light Artillery

Organized October, 1862, from Battery “A,” 2nd Battalion, New York Light Artillery. Served by detachments as follows: First Section attached to Battery “C,” 4th U. S. Artillery, October, 1862, to January 16, 1863, then to Battery “G,” 1st New York Light Artillery, till September 7, 1863.

Second Section attached to Battery “G,” 1st New York Light Artillery, October, 1862, to September 7, 1863.

Third Section attached to Battery “B,” 1st New York Light Artillery, October, 1862, to September 7, 1863.

These detachments transferred to above named Batteries permanently September 7, 1863.

Battery lost during service 2 Officers and 3 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 4 Enlisted men by disease. Total 9.
