Fall River, Bristol County, Massachusetts

a city of 25,000 pop., on Taunton River, near its entrance to Mt. Hope Bay. Has a good harbor, and is one of the largest cotton manufacturing cities in New England. The commerce, both foreign and domestic, is quite extensive.
