Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania

a town of 7,000 pop., on Lackawaxen Creek and at the terminus of the Delaware & Hudson Railroad. Engaged in manufactures and a place of active trade. Immense quantities of coal are conveyed from here to Hudson River through the Delaware and Hudson Canal.
