خَابِئَةٌ ذ , as sometimes pronounced, (Msb,) or خَابِيَةٌ, with the ' suppressed, (S, Msb, K,) because of frequent usage, (Msb,) i. q. حُبٌّ [q. v.]; (S, K;) i. e. A large jar: pl. خوابى [i. e. خَوَابِئُ, or خَوَابٍ]: (TA:) from خَبَأَهُ “ he hid it, ” or “ concealed it. ” (S, Msb.) ― -b2- [Hence,] بِنْتُ الخَابِيَةِ (assumed tropical:) Wine. (Har p. 365.)
