1 كَدَأَ ذ and كَدِئَ , aor. كَدَاَ , inf. n. كَدْءٌ and كُدُوْءٌ, It (a plant) was affected by the cold, and thereby made to stick to the earth: or its growth became slow by reason of want of water. (AZ, S, K.) ― -b2- كَدَأَ, aor. كَدَاَ ; (K;) and ↓ كدّأ , (S, K,) inf. n. تَكْدِئَةٌ; (S;) the former the more common; (TA;) It (cold) cast down the standing corn &c. upon the earth. (S, K.) ― -b3- كَدَأَ (tropical:) It (herbage) was short and bad, (K,) on account of the badness of the soil. (TA.) ― -b4- كَدِئَتِ الإِِبِلُ, aor. كَدَاَ , inf. n. كَدْءٌ, The camels had little hair. (TA.) -A2- كَدِئَ, (K,) or كَدَأَ, (L.) the former said to be of an uncommon dial., (MF,) aor. كَدَاَ , It (a crow or raven) croaked roughly, as though it were vomiting. (L, K.)
