Early snow in California.

--The Maysville (Cal.) Appeal of the 6th October says, there had been quite a smart fall of snow in the mountains east of that town. It lay about eight inches deep on the road between North San Juan and Forest City, a distance of forty miles, and higher up it was deeper.
